My name is Makael Carthy (artist name MAKAEL), and I’m a 15-year-old artist from Oxford with a huge passion for music. I’ve been in love with music since I was five, when my mum introduced me to Chris Brown and Michael Jackson — that moment sparked something in me, and I knew this was what I wanted to do.
When I was 11, I sadly lost my dad, and I made a promise to myself that I would pursue my dream of becoming a musician. Now, four years later, I’ve built my own home studio where I write, create, and mix all of my songs. Music has become my way of expressing myself and staying true to that promise I made.
