Independent Canadian country artist and songwriter, Makayla Charleen, currently resides in the heart of British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley. Although she was born and now continues to live in British Columbia, Makayla spent the majority of her childhood growing up in Calgary, Alberta.
Since the release of her debut single in 2023, Makayla Charleen’s music has evolved into a blend of contemporary country and modern southern rock, with subtle bluesy undertones. Influenced by artists such as Jon Pardi, Ella Langley, Cody Johnson, and Lainey Wilson, Makayla’s heartfelt and soulful vocal delivery will have listeners singing along and burning up a sawdust dance floor.
