"Make Tape Sounds" or aka "Tape Sounds" is a loose project started up by Nate Kellogg in 2006. Initially beginning with found sound and ambience recorded to old tape machines, the project has grown to include programmed / sampled drums, synths, guitar loops, resampled guitar pedal ambience, and idm-inspired electronics. Nate has also been in a few touring bands, including as a founding member, of the now-defunct experimental rock quartet OroborO, as well as a more experimental-electronic outfit known as Person Project.
As stated on Make Tape Sounds' Bandcamp bio, Make Tape Sounds is "an assortment of broken cassette tapestries, pedalhead-probing bedlam and electronic weirdness."
