Makisi made his debut in 2015. His first EP “Famili” charted the top 20 on iTunes hitting #13 in its first 24 hours. Makisi is a well known local artist out of Salt Lake City, Utah. Like many well known singers, he gained his love for singing and music in church at a young age. At just 16 Makisi started making appearances and performing at small local gigs. That love progressed and grew as he began his musical journey with the help and mentorship of other artists in the Salt Lake music scene. Through those performances his craft has grown and evolved and over the years he’s opened up for some of reggae music’s biggest names. He’s shared the stage and has had the privilege of opening up for artists such as Steel Pulse, Protoje, SOJA, J Boog, Gappy Ranks, Pam Hall, JC Lodge & many more.
