Born in Montana and raised between Calgary and Toronto, Makk Mikkael grew familiar with a nomadic lifestyle. The one constant that always remained was music. At the young age of 8, Makk graced a stage for the first time - a stage at a dive bar with her mom’s country band but a stage no less. From this moment, she knew her calling. At 21 years old, Makk moved to Montreal where she found a community of fellow artists and producers. Her voice became the muse of producer Alex Lustig (Drake, Machine Gun Kelly, PartyNextDoor) who she released several songs with. She also collaborated heavily with Cecile Believe (A. G. Cook, SOPHIE, Shygirl) who produced most of Makk's early 2022 EP, Practicing Punches released on Terrible Records. Makk has built an even larger network of creatives after living in LA for the past three years, working with Oscar Scheller (PinkPantheress, Arlo Parks, Lady Gaga) and playing shows with artists like CARR and Liam Benzvi. To follow a string of singles, Makk will share a new project in the upcoming year.
