I'm a Double Bassist, and Composer. I write music for various Jazz ensembles, small and large. I also write music for Classical ensembles every once in a while (Woodwind ensembles, strings...). I was born in a small village in the mountains of Lebanon and grew up there. Then, I moved to Beirut and started playing gigs. After a while I moved to the Netherlands where I studied for my Master's degree in Jazz at the Prins Claus Conservatorium, and I spent a few months in New York studying with some great composers, arrangers, and performers. My first album "Parallel" was a spontaneous decision taken by pianist Jeremy Siskind and myself to just walk into the studio and see what comes out of us after we had discovered an interesting chemistry between us (musical and personal). My second album, "Transmigration", was composed, recorded, and released during the most difficult of times for humanity. That's not me bragging, I am just grateful I had music to work on as the world spiraled in chaos.
