Malcolm Tree is like a breath of fresh air inside a world of music that doesn’t see too much wind.
He started playing the guitar at the age of 5, was already writing rhymes by age 13, releasing music by age 15, and went on to pick up the piano, drums, and bass guitar, which he uses all in his music.
Coming out of Oklahoma, Malcolm doesn’t want to fit in to any genre, crowd, or niche. He’s always been a standout character, playing shows that are filled with trap artists yet lighting up the room with his indie vibes. But don’t forget, he started as a rapper and that never goes away.
Malcolm Tree is a perfect example of being yourself, build it and they will come, and staying true to what feels right.
He just dropped his debut album “When We Caught the Sun”. A clean, introspective indie album that he says is the music he’s “always wanted to make”.
He also self produces and engineers his own work while doing the same for many other artists.
