By the age of 14, he picked up the bass guitar and showcased his skills within his church community. In his youth, Malcolm decided to change the spelling of his first name to "Malcomplicated." This new name reflects his belief in the unique and self-taught nature of his musical talents. The word "Complicated" represents his complex and original approach to music.
