But it’s her skill in audio engineering that allows her to create a signature soundscape of her own. During the Pandemic in early 2020, Mali Ama made a bit of noise with the release of her single “SAY”, which paved the way for 2021's fan-favorite “Oh My”. Mali is kicking down the door with her debut EP “How The Cookie Crumbled”. Where she explored the beginnings of romance, heartbreak, and a bounce back dripping with sass and confidence. Her lyrics are vulnerable and hopeful. She also explored the disintegration of romance – the feelings of disappointment, feeling lost, moving forward and cutting ties with acceptance. “How The Cookie Crumbled” has been the purest reflection of her skills as a vocalist, an audio engineer, and a writer that isn't afraid to be raw and vulnerable. Ended 2021 with her latest single, "Not You" placing her face on the cover of Tidal's R&B Rising.
