Malichi Male

Malichi has come a long way from his humble beginnings in Uganda he has climbed the charts as one of Canada’s most successful Rap artists.
In 2003 Malichi skyrocketed to the top of the charts with his conscious lyrics and synchrony of infectious beats. He invaded the Toronto urban airwaves and climbed into the top ten urban music charts with his hit song <a href="spotify:track:2R5y4btZaWXxPwGhU4koPJ" data-name="B Boy Stance">B Boy Stance</a>. He scored a top five single for six consecutive weeks on mainstream radio, while hitting number one on the Joy 1250 radio&#39;s countdown. To date, Malichi remains the only urban artist to simultaneously have a top 5 single on both Christian and secular radio.

​Malichi has been nominated for 5 Covenant Awards, the Urban Music Association of Canada Award (UMAC), the Vibe Award and the Maja Award, to name a few. He is the proud recipient of two Maja Awards in the categories of Hip Hop Album of the Year and New Artist of the Year, as well as the 2015 GMA award for hip-hop album of the year. In 2019 Malichi also took home the top award for Musician Of The Year for the Soulful Magazine Awards. Malichi remains the only musician to chart in 5 different music genres ( HIP-HOP, RnB, REGGAE, ROCK, and CLASSICAL MUSIC)
