Malou is a Dutch singer-song writer who lives in Nerja, Spain. She just released her first album Flying High and has a shower of brand new songs coming to her to be shared with us in the coming months. Malou has felt the need to sing since she was young, as a way to express and deal with her feelings. Although when she was 9 she sang in a famous Dutch TV- show “Kinderen voor kinderen” with solo performances, and attended preliminary musical training at the age of 16, she felt to follow another big quest in her life first: spirituality.
She graduated at university as a Bachelor in Science of Religion and as a Master in Spiritual Care (Rijksuniversiteit Groningen). After many years of practicing yoga and vipassana meditation and being a mindfulness trainer, A Course in Miracles showed up in her life. This gave her a connection to both the peace and stillness of meditation and the love of/for God.
The sincere desire to discover Truth through singing came up in non-duality retreat, and from that moment songs have been given to her by Spirit. Miraculously they play in her head, she writes them down and so they are born; for all of us to remember who we truly are!
