Malyssa

A Modesto CA native with mixed French, Native American and Thai ethnicity, Malyssa is pronounced Mah-Lee-Sah translating to “jasmine” in Thai. Many baby girls have been named after her since she debuted on the music scene in 2002!

Malyssa jumped in the music scene with the dance pop single “Reminisce” receiving radio airplay on KYLD 94.9 FM (SF Bay Area) and 102.5 KDON (Monterey-Salinas), becoming mixshow and rotations plays in NorCal, Seattle, Hawaii, Florida and Texas. Her Reminisce full-length album was released by Rhythm Drive Records, a label founded by writer/producer Reno Ursal after his 4 year stint working promotions for Bay Area indie label Classified Records. This album features upbeat songs like “Here With You”, “By My Side” and “Crazy” from various songwriters and producers with “Reminisce” considered her biggest hit.


In 2023, the Electrofreestyle mix of “Here With You” has gained radio airplay on freestyle dance radio and Top 40 stations Jamz 99.3 FM (Salina KS), RHYTHM 105.9 (Yuba City CA) and Xtreme Radio. In 2025, a remix of “Reminisce” by DJ Renovation was released on all music platforms.

Now in Los Angeles, Malyssa brings a smile to anyone she meets, with her dance pop songs bringing positivity to anyone who needs to see a smile.
