Mambo Kahn is a French instrumentalist, producer and DJ based in Hamburg, Germany. From club-oriented bass and hip-hop heaters to more contemplative tunes inspired by electronic music and jazz, his radio residencies on Subtle Radio (London) and Hallo:Radio (Hamburg) shows offer a blend of genres inviting listeners to discover more.
Through classical and jazz training, Mambo Kahn has built an appreciation for subtle harmonies and instrumentation in his productions, which characterize his style of blending drum chops and bass lines, usually encountered in jungle or grime, with eerie chords and atmospheric nuances.
After numerous contributions to V/A for Trajectoire, ClusterTraxx, Club Late Music, and Egregore (forthcoming), he has gained the confidence to output his solo debut EP “Stronghold”. Released on Toulouse imprint ClusterTraxx, the EP explores Mambo Kahn’s repertory, from club-oriented 2-step tools to emotional rave anthems.
