Born in Senegal, Mame Balla started to create music from a young age. He moved to the Gambia when he was 15 years old and became a member of one of the most famous reggae groups called 'the Dancehall Masters'. Between 1999 and 2004 they released 3 albums and played hundreds of concerts throughout the country.
In 2004 Mame Balla moved back to Senegal and started working with Youssou Ndour's brother and produced 2 albums containing various hit songs.
Since 2010 he travelled the world and performed in different countries in Europe and also the United States. He met with a lot of artists and exchanged ideas which influenced and enriched his musical experience. He cooperated with several international artists in different genres of music and brought all those experiences back to his roots
