MANDIAS exists outside of time, just down the block from you. If you haven’t heard them, yes you have.
Lightning on concrete. An engine being pushed to its breaking point. Mandias harnesses the primal rage of a non-negotiable existence, spins it in a circle, spits on it, then tosses it forward to bigger and bigger crowds as a sheer sonic middle finger to an uncaring cosmos.
The brainchild of lyricist/vocalist Madeline Musheno and multi-instrumentalist Brandon Young, Mandias quickly took shape with the addition of a rhythm section with roots as deep as the Lost River Range in Cade Yates, Eternal Outlaw on drums, and Chris Thornton, Sunset Connoisseur, playing impeccable bass. After the release of their initial effort in Take The Care You’re Never Given, they gained an additional guitar in spaceship pilot and xenobotanist Miles Ranck.
Their five powers combined have taken the local music scene by storm, filling venues on even Monday and Sunday nights, scaring traditionalists and calling upon the very forces of nature to deliver grunge-nouveau, girlypop power-jams, good violent fun.
Mandias is from Boise, Idaho.
Their latest 3 song EP, Cerberus, is out now.
