Hailing from Eindhoven (The Netherlands), MANNERISMS delves into atmospheric & melancholic territories with a simplistic & intimate approach. With calming low vocals, echoing guitars & minimalistic percussion, the band narrates & enhances the dreams dreamt by founder Felice Parqui. Her goal is to capture the subconscious being, herself, in a state of reflection.


MANNERISMS started out at as a solo project with Parqui performing at intimate venues. Her guitar, stripped of effects, guided the listeners through her dreams as she would bring them into reality with her vocal storytelling.
In 2018 Parqui formed a band around her consisting of (acoustic) guitarist Mat Van Baest & percussionist Tjalling De Leeuw In 't Veld. The band was essentially formed around Parqui's school graduation. Due to the unique characteristic of narrative storytelling & music creation, as well as the chemistry between the members, it became apparent to them that this project should be set forth.


In 2021, after years of musical exploration, MANNERISMS is releasing her very first full-length album “DREAM STATE”. With Parqui holding true to her goal, Van Baest defines the mystery while De Leeuw In ‘t Veld dynamically interprets the story. From begin to end the album is an eerie yet very soothing & honest experience.
