I never thought I would follow music as far as it has led me now.
There was a long while where any thought of playing music had all but disappeared.
I found myself working and working and selling my soul by the hour. And for what? To pay the bills, buy the beers, eat, sleep, wash, rinse, repeat.
I completely lost myself in the comfort of the monotony.
I was on the verge of ending it one way or another. So I chose the other.
I packed what I could in a backpack and guitar case and decided to hit the road. Spur of the moment. Me and music and whatever adventures awaited us on the road.
Okay. It may have been a bit of a mental breakdown. Definitely not the best thought out plan.
I hadn't so much as really hiked before. Camping? Not since I was a kid.
After a month walking and hitch hiking and sleeping in the rain, I headed home.
But I had at least learned something in that short time. How much I loved busking!
Singing at the top of my lungs, playing for strangers in front of whatever stores wouldn't call the cops.
Since then, no matter what is going on in my head, after the first song I can take on the world.
So I decided. If I'm going to keep doing this, I should probably write my own material.
So here we are. I'm following the dreams I thought had all but died. I hope you do too.
And I guess I hope you like the music too.
