Manny Rune

It’s only natural for Jakarta, Indonesia-based singer-songwriter, Dennis Ferdinand to expand his unexplored ideas to a new creative outlet called <a href="spotify:artist:5HubUnzkDlyQPwXNM24NnW" data-name="Manny Rune">Manny Rune</a>.
Inspired by 60’s-80’s pop music acts such as <a href="spotify:artist:3oDbviiivRWhXwIE8hxkVV" data-name="The Beach Boys">The Beach Boys</a> , <a href="spotify:artist:1eEfMU2AhEo7XnKgL7c304" data-name="Carpenters">Carpenters</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3JhRHqCi8HEzkJVWt19LtN" data-name="Stephen Bishop">Stephen Bishop</a> &amp; <a href="spotify:artist:77tT1kLj6mCWtFNqiOmP9H" data-name="Daryl Hall & John Oates">Daryl Hall & John Oates</a> combined with some modern influences like <a href="spotify:artist:4d53BMrRlQkrQMz5d59f2O" data-name="Mayer Hawthorne">Mayer Hawthorne</a> &amp; <a href="spotify:artist:3zmfs9cQwzJl575W1ZYXeT" data-name="Men I Trust">Men I Trust</a>, Dennis was determined to fulfill some artistic desires that were overlooked in his previous bands.
As the leader – and the only permanent member – of <a href="spotify:artist:5HubUnzkDlyQPwXNM24NnW" data-name="Manny Rune">Manny Rune</a>, Dennis has been able to prove that he’s able to write something that can be enjoyed in the dark of the night through the light of the day.


After releasing a double singles (&#34;<a href="spotify:track:5H9JMoh8v91INfJweugN6V" data-name="Seafoam">Seafoam</a>&#34;, a <a href="spotify:artist:6P7H3ai06vU1sGvdpBwDmE" data-name="Steely Dan">Steely Dan</a>-esque song and &#34;<a href="spotify:track:6Bfw2F1cRBQLruQfEm5RF0" data-name="Bonne Nuit">Bonne Nuit</a>&#34;, a <a href="spotify:artist:1GWV70Reko15eV2nHCm0bM" data-name="The Blue Nile">The Blue Nile</a>-esque song), <a href="spotify:artist:5HubUnzkDlyQPwXNM24NnW" data-name="Manny Rune">Manny Rune</a> is back with &#34;<a href="spotify:track:4HanlVHD8qEBO1DEQ22UF8" data-name="Jubilee">Jubilee</a>&#34;.
Started off with a very jangly chorus-y guitar (performed by Vari Rivano from <a href="spotify:artist:0ejPHB5hhzjG2JtglWKjlZ" data-name="Rimba">Rimba</a>), on point bass (performed by Alexander Bryan from KURR.) and later followed by a distorted vocals from Dennis are something that unexpected by his listeners.
That is one of the proofs that the long-awaited album from <a href="spotify:artist:5HubUnzkDlyQPwXNM24NnW" data-name="Manny Rune">Manny Rune</a> is full of surprise.
