Manny SOLO is on the cusp of something big. Born Emmanuel Melse, the Rhode Island native would spend his childhood obsessed with the rising genre of hip-hop while maintaining strong ties with his Haitian culture and the music associated with it. When entering high school, SOLO would move to Central Florida and begin crafting his own music. It was not until 2018 when he hopped on a “U Name It” challenge on social media that he would begin to see a small but loyal fan base trickle down his way. Once he saw the opportunity, he unleashed a number of remixes to prominent songs by the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Drake, and Cardi B, all of which generated a healthy amount of buzz for his unique delivery and efficient wordplay. He oozes the lyricism of a forgotten age with a production that embraces the island rhythm of his homeland. Set to drop his debut EP later this year, SOLO is a force to be reckoned with in the industry!
