MANSHEEN is a solo project in the style of a British Indie Rock band from the 1990's. All music is written and performed by Stan from London, who has played guitar and bass guitar in bands with friends for a while but had not decided to write until 2023 when he thought he would like to have a go.
Influences mainly come from the 1990's and include Madchester, Britpop, Shoegaze and Grunge but also lean on earlier punk and rock traditions. The uniqueness of the sound comes through at the cross-section of these styles with a contemporary twist, and has been described in the music press as "experimentation and genre-blending to craft a unique, vibrant sound experience" resulting in an "improvised chaos of noise rock".
