Maq Lai

Maq Lai is a multi-talented artist. He is a radio announcer, comedian, actor, DJ, and social media personality. In 2016, he participating in "Super Comedian 2016," competing against comedians from Taiwan and Singapore. He ultimately secured 3rd place, establishing a bit of fame for himself in Malaysia.

After the competition, Maq faced a financial crisis with no job opportunities in sight. He went through 9 months without any income. Under the pressure of reality, he decided to give up his dream of working in the entertainment industry and became a flight attendant for 2 years.

After saving up during his time as a flight attendant, Maq decided to pursue his dreams again, he chose to end that career. At that time, Malaysia's well-known radio station Astro GOXUAN happened to be recruiting DJs for "Goxuan The Rising 2019." Maq won the championship and became a radio announcer .

Maq is widely known for his positive and optimistic personality. Maq has always been someone who wants to break out of his comfort zone. In 2023, he decided to add a new skill to his repertoire: DJing. On August 31, 2023 , he officially debuted as a professional DJ.

Even though Maq is already a multi-faceted artist, he wants to give it his all and fulfill his dream from when he was 17: to become a rap artist. It's been 10 years since Maq debuted. In 2025, as he turns 30, he will release his self-written and composed new single and debut track—"SAGA"!
