Már - The musician, the Singer/Pianist, the Songwriter & the world record breaking Paralympic swimmer from Iceland, chases passions & dreams… Until they become reality!
Traveling worldwide he represents Iceland for swimming as well as performing and releasing music internationally.
Már has released one album Söngur Fuglsins (song of the birds) & multiple singles, two of which were reaching the top the Icelandic radio hit lists. With their song ‘Don’t You Know?’ Már & his sister Isold, were strong candidates to represent Iceland at Eurovision 2022, ending third in the Icelandic grand final show hosted by RUV the Icelandic National Broadcasting Service.
Collaborating with Icelandic leading artists, Már has also shared the stage with some of the worlds finest musicians including - Don Randy (Wrecking Crew) Brandon Fields (George Benson) Tom Brechtlein (Robben Ford & the Blue Line, Chick Corea) Natalia Przybyz pop star from Poland.
Alongside a career in music & sports, Már is also a public speaker & has featured as a radio & TV presenter for the Icelandic National Broadcasting Service and other independent channels.
Már is currently based both in the UK & Iceland. Whilst studying music at the RNCM conservatoire, he is also training with Manchester’s top swimmers to prepare for the Paralympic Games in Paris 2024. Már is writing & recording new material with his good friend- lyricist Tómas Eyjólfsson for a second album to be released later this year.
