Maria Ebenyin Idoko, professionally known as Mari-B, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter born on June 22, 2001, in Bekwarra, Cross River State. She is the second child of Mr and Mrs E. Idoko and grew up in a music-loving family that strongly influenced her artistic path.

She was educated in Calabar, completing her early schooling before graduating from the Department of Mass Communication, University of Calabar, in the 2024/2025 academic session. Her father’s broad taste in music, including country, Afrobeat, R&B, reggae, and Afro-fusion, shaped her passion and sound.

Mari-B began her professional music career in 2018 with her debut single “De One.” A versatile artist, she blends Zouk and Afrobeat, creating emotionally driven music centred on love and personal experiences. She identifies as a “Lova-Girl,” reflecting her artistic mission to communicate love through music.

Since 2018, she has released 13 songs, prioritising quality and strategic promotion. She has hosted three music concerts, including a 2024 edition featuring Mista Xto, and has performed at the Calabar Carnival since 2019, as well as the Okwelle Carnival in Owerri.

In 2025, she released a professionally shot music video for “Plenty Money,” a major milestone in her career. Her awards include Fast Rising Campus Entertainer (2019) and Female Artist of the Year (2025). Outside of music, she enjoys reading and writing and aspires to become a movie producer
