Berlin-based singer, film music composer and music producer Maria GoJa's music delves deep into the dynamic dance of creative and chaotic forces that shape our lives, navigating between the realms of the familiar and the unknown. From otherworldly experiences to the raw reality of life, her songs explore themes of transformation, new beginnings and breaking free from limitations. Combining piano melodies, cinematic orchestration, drum grooves and atmospheric textures, her sound palette forms a unique blend of Dark Cinematic Art Pop. Drawing from Alternative and Soul influences with hints of Jazz and Classical, her sonic universe takes listeners on a journey from pulsating, rooted depths to spherical, frosty soundscapes.
On her musical journey Maria GoJa moves between worlds. Her genre-bending style is a blend of diverse influences and experiences, shaped by various music worlds she navigates. While being trained for classical piano and vocals at a young age, she spent her time with Hip Hop artists at urban music studios as a Teen, drew inspiration from Jazz musicians later on and studied non-western music cultures in her twenties.
Since 2012 she closely works with director and filmmaker Shredy Jabarin.
Collaborations include projects with artists like Gemma Ray, Wittmann & Zeitblom, Beatrix Becker, <a href="spotify:artist:7BRlAzP0LYfm6u0S4ZIRMc" data-name="Tanger Trio & Ensemble Mondaine">Tanger Trio & Ensemble Mondaine</a>.
