Maria Karakusheva is a contemporary classical pianist and award-winning composer based in Amsterdam. Her work moves between original neoclassical compositions and emotionally resonant film scores, blending fragility and power in every note.

Rooted in classical tradition yet always exploring new ground, Maria’s music spans from baroque to cinematic minimalism. Her earlier crossover projects, like Classic in the House and Classic in the Jazz, challenged genres and introduced classical sound to new, unexpected spaces.
Her upcoming album Forget Me Not is an ode to flowers - a poetic, deeply personal collection that explores themes of memory, strength, and transformation. The album will premiere live in 2025.
