Maria Lærke is entering the Danish music scene with a deep focus on the lyrics, as she seemlessly weaves her mothertongue into soft and compelling melodies.
The artist and skilled vocalist first gained attention in 2022 with her electronic pop single "På Vej Hjem", co-written by Danish artist Barbara Moleko. The song was featured on New Music Friday and used as the title track for the EKKO-nominated short film URØRLIG. She has since received airplay on Denmark’s P3 radio and local stations like Radio SNR with her following singles ‘Tæt på’ and ‘Blomstrer her til Sommer’. Recently she has found herself shifting into a more understated indie-pop tone, hovering somewhere between Billie Eilish and Fleetwood Mac and her fourth track, ‘Ruin’, is a perfect example of that.
