Maria Lithell

The artist, singer and composer Maria Lithell from Sweden has a strong, powerful voice and creates music with her own personal sound. She combines instruments like marimba, bassoon and strings with more commonly used instruments like bass and guitar. She is based in Stockholm, Sweden and has been working with other artists such as Christian Kjellvander, Fläskkvartetten (Fleshquartet), Per Egland, Sophie Rimheden and on her most recent album Vindla String Quartet and pianist Fredrik Hermansson as well as guitarist and sound engineer Jerker Eklund.
Maria Lithell Flyg is also a composer of contemporary music. In June, 2019 she released an album with a collection of chamber music featuring, among others, musicians from the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra and pianist Martin Sturfält.
