Since Norwegian-Iranian Marie Sahba released her debut single Take Me Back in 2019, she has grown to become one of Norway's most exciting artists. In February 2024, she released the highly anticipated debut album A Billion Years Too Soon. Dagsavisen named the album:

The singles from the album also impressed a united group of reviewers and Give Me A Sign, Namaste, and One Last Time received praise from both Dagsavisen and Aftenposten, two of Norway’s biggest newspapers. One Last Time was also featured in WWF campaign and the music video for A Billion Years Too Soon was nominated at Bergen International Film Festival as “One of the best Norwegian music videos”.
Through the album's nine tracks, listeners are invited into Marie's unique musical universe where she seamlessly weaves her cultural heritage with modern, electronic music and lyrics in English and Azerbaijani. In 2024 she completed two release tours across Türkiye (Istanbul, Ankara, Adana, Batman, and Diyarbakir) and Norway.
