Hailing from the south shore of Long Island, creating surfy, nautical dream pop comes natural for marine mirage. The band, consisting of members Nick Picarella and Kevin Tarone as well as brothers Daniel and Justin Sergio, independently record on tape from their DIY bedroom studio, lending their songs a warm, vintage aesthetic. From the shoegaze-esque guitars and immersive synthesizers reminiscent of Alvvays to the punk rock-like driving basslines and powerful drums of The Garden, marine mirage juxtaposes chill atmospheres with raw energy as to bring more intensity to an otherwise dreamy genre.
