marine snow is a solo project from OKC made by me, cassie!
after a few projects that i started and failed a few other projects, i started marine snow in 2024, and 5 months later i released <a href="spotify:album:3Rwr6dZkp7kh1B15TO06Oe" data-name="run away, and never look back">run away, and never look back</a>, one of the first albums ive ever made that i still love. the inspirations for this project &amp; time of my life were from albums and artists <a href="spotify:album:2s9vF9vDFY04ltIkL8zoK9" data-name="Demo">Demo</a>, <a href="spotify:album:4FE4bYkVIMNc9ohqRjWD5s" data-name="I know where we&#39;re at, not where we&#39;re going">I know where we&#39;re at, not where we&#39;re going</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:5oEizTkT6mRlggZPdxWmjk" data-name="Knumears">Knumears</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:6pWBQcB2gwmDjgUdz9i3Vd" data-name="onewaymirror">onewaymirror</a>.
from the moment the ep released i began working on the 2nd one, <a href="spotify:album:1PKStIBdl7spYzF38Te5y3" data-name="a plea, a promise">a plea, a promise</a>. i spent a full year on this album, something which i had never done with any of projects ever, most of the time i would spend 2-6 months on one project so it&#39;s no wonder how much higher quality the album is. the inspirations for this album differ a lot from the first album, like <a href="spotify:album:718kbp0LCMGFNG3JuEu0Th" data-name="Count Your Blessings">Count Your Blessings</a>, <a href="spotify:album:09rAWKqYlkp9lPNRJ9Zf6T" data-name="Dear Love: A Beautiful Discord">Dear Love: A Beautiful Discord</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:6Z3hED02b5f3UHofXeqeIN" data-name="A Lovely Day For Bloodshed">A Lovely Day For Bloodshed</a>, &amp; <a href="spotify:artist:6Poom22GX1UVUSi8zi6Q1W" data-name="VICTIMBLAMED">VICTIMBLAMED</a>.
whats in the future? well, my inspirations have changed a lot, and for this next album i am going for a 2000s mathcore feel, while maintaining my classic emo lyrics, and hardcore ideals. the main albums and artists i am taking inspiration from for this album are <a href="spotify:album:46w6NITZMc4F9Mm0w23voN" data-name="Last Night In Town">Last Night In Town</a>, <a href="spotify:album:6nohVaKwQ9OBaQwPgH4LiS" data-name="Songs for the Firing Squad">Songs for the Firing Squad</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:31gBU2iaGuVX5xEAI3x2a2" data-name="Told Not To Worry">Told Not To Worry</a>, &amp; <a href="spotify:artist:7kHzfxMLtVHHb523s43rY1" data-name="Converge">Converge</a> who have recently become my favorite band.
