Always earnest, always relatable. Under The Radar Magazine (US) calls them "Lisbon’s finest new musical export". Through their music, Portuguese singer-songwriter Marinho comes to terms with what lies between overly romanticised expectations and real life. Resolutions come in the form of alternative folk rock songs they've written and assembled on their debut album "~" (read ‘tilde’). Their deeply personal and confessional music is undoubtedly cementing their growing reputation.

Marinho has opened for acts such as Anna St. Louis and Alice Phoebe Lou. They've played extensively in their home country and have taken steps into international touring. Some press have compared them to Buck Meek (Big Thief), Black Belt Eagle Scout and even beloved female rock icon Alanis Morissette.

Their debut LP ended up on a dozen lists for best album of the year and the single Window Pain was nominated for best pop song of 2019. In 2021 Marinho was the official portuguese-representing act at Eurosonic (ESNS) — Europe's largest showcase festival.
