Mario Ananda:
Bajjala Walauve Mario Ananda Abeykoon, is the only son of the veteran, idol of Sri Lankan
music industry late Mr. Gration Ananda Abeykoon, he composed more as 400 Film Music
Tracks. Inherited with the harmonious, unique, yet versatile voice and the amazing talent in
creating original music pieces as a music director, he took up after his father, in year 2011 at
the age of 20. Ever since then he has been a professional Composer, Songwriter, Producer
and Vocalist, Music Video and Documentary Film Editor for over 11 years. Since this time
Mario Ananda wrote and composed round 600 Songs.
Mario witnessed to his undoubted amazing talents blessed by Almighty Father, at the tender
age of kindergarten, when he played the piano, drums and guitars excelling by himself and also
he won best vocalist’s title at various singing competitions.
Since his childhood Mario mastered in playing the guitar, rhythm, bass, the piano and drums.
Since the age of 13 years Mario has been creating original music through the knowledge he
has gained on his father. Mario’s first album was released while schooling at the age of 15
years old with the guidance of his father.
He is the youngest Music director to direct the background music score for the tele drama
broadcast on Sri Lankan Television “Gini Avis aha Gini keli”.
Mario has conducted the orchestras & directed and rearranged music for several musical
Television productions broadcast over National television of Sri Lanka.
