Mario started as a male Soprano during his primary school years in Pasig City, his hometown in the Philippines. At the age of 15, he became the youngest member of the Southern Baptist Hour Choir of the Philippines providing music for its Mass-Media programs that aired islandwide through FEBC network and its other media partners. As a teenager, Lajarca translated English music and adapted it to Tagalog/Filipino and often recorded it for broadcast programmes. He toured the Philippines with SBHC and then progressed to be part of the PAPURI! Music Ministry of FEBC. He recorded a number of songs for PAPURI! including IKALIMANG SALMO, PAPURI!12, PAPURI!14, and penned songs for IKAAPAT NA SALMO, & PAPURI!22. Other singles he has recorded for PAPURI! were "HINDI KA NA MAG-IISA", "LAAN PA RIN" (When God Ran, Tagalog adaptation). In the Pop music industry, his compositions and collaboration with Music Arranger, Albert Tamayo were included in the albums of Vina Morales, Ric Segretto, Lloyd Umali, Jolina Magdangal, Markki Stroem, & the vocal group MP3. Mario's debut album was released through EQ Music in Singapore in 2004. His second album "SIMPLY GRATEFUL" is available on all digital music platforms. Lajarca is a professional emcee and an Academic Lecturer at Singapore Polytechnic, Curtin University (SG), MDIS (SG), and at Polytechnic University of the Philippines.
