DJ Mario Lopez is not the actor who had his breakthrough while playing a main role in the popular TV show Saved By the Bell. That's the nickname chosen by German Thomas Schatz when he started DJing in the Hannover circuit, mostly to finance his own sound equipment and to buy records. His first single, "It's Not Over," came out in 1997 after he teamed up with producer Sascha Graune. "Fantasy" followed soon after. In 1998, Thomas Schatz started introducing himself as DJ Silencer, issuing a single called "Birthday Party" that same year. "The Sound of Nature" came out in 1999, featuring remixes by Kaylab, Plug'n'Play, Lightforce, Mark VanLinden, and his album Mother Earth was locally released in October 2000. ~ Drago Bonacich, Rovi
