Marissa Guzman is an award-winning American dance music singer, songwriter & producer. She is also a multi-instrumentalist and a label owner of Juicy Lucy Music. She was born in Los Angeles but raised in the suburbs of Detroit by her father, Eddie Guzman, who was a member of Motown's band, Rare Earth. Marissa decided to emulate her Dad's musical success after she quit her career in marketing to learn how to produce music in 2009. In 2011 she released her original song, "Time To Go," which was remixed by South Africa's superstar DJ Black Coffee which made her an instant pop star there. Shortly after came her debut self-produced album, "Joy Road," as well as the "Joy Road Remix Album" on Juicy Lucy. Because of her popularity in South Africa, Marissa collaborated with several South African artists like Liquideep, Black Motion and Cuebur, and every song became a number one hit there. Her collaboration, "No Doubt," with Cuebur on Defected Records rose to popularity in Europe after Pete Tong played Shlomi Aber's remix on his BBC Radio 1 show in London, England in 2013. In 2015, Marissa entered her original production of "Time to Go" in the "World Wide Music Contest" not knowing that Henry Padovani, the original guitar player from the band "The Police" was a judge, and she won 1st place. Marissa has spent the last few years traveling, writing, recording and producing her highly anticipated sophomore album, Jupiter, which is available March 19, 2025! Stay tuned!
