Marissa Luna is a singer/songwriter from Birmingham Alabama. At the age of 13 she wrote and recorded her first song. She writes most of her own music as she plays the guitar and piano. Marissa is a Junior at the University of Alabama. On October 7, 2023 Marissa was crowned Miss University Of Alabama. This summer she was in Miss Alabama and was a top 3 finalist. She is currently working on her first country EP and will release it this year. Marissa preformed this past March 2023 at the Music Hall of Fame induction ,honoring Peanutt Montgomery. She was invited to the Alabama Music Hall of Fame to sing for Tanya Tucker and Tanyas's first number one hit," What's Your Momma's Name", which was written by Peanutt Montgomery She had the pleasure in the spring of 2023 of opening up for Maddie and Tae in Birmingham. In September she played at the Irondale Music Festival. She is currently working with The Legendary Fame Studios and Rodney Hall production companies in Muscle Shoals, Ben Trexel Music in Birmingham, and Josh Bright of Boaz. This past year she has been working with Grammy Award winner Keith Thomas and top writers in Nashville such as Aaron Pearce. She and country star Robert Abernathy released a Christmas song in the fall of 2023. She has been Nashville filming a Christmas movie to be released Christmas 2024.
