Mark has had a long, varied career as performer, composer and educator. He has received commissions from ballet and modern dance companies and specializes in creating music-videos for visual artists. Mark has received awards and grants from the San Diego Arts Commission, The Getty Foundation, NY State Council on the Arts, and Meet the Composer Inc. The American Ceramic Society included his recordings of clay flutes on their CD and book titled From Mud to Music. He specializes in performing on flutes and unusual wind instruments created in collaboration with experimental instrument builders.
