BIOGRAPHY:Mark grew up as the youngest of 12 children surrounded by singers and musicians, as his father and most of his siblings played a variety of instruments with several performing at the semi-professional level. At a young age, he decided that his instrument of choice would be the guitar. That was the beginning of a long and loving relationship. As his technique developed through formal training, and by listening to players from James Taylor to BB King, he developed a proficiency in acoustic styles and acoustic & electric rock/blues. In the 80’s, he worked the Boston club scene with several bands including Clutch Cargo and Sabre honing his skills and building an understanding of the music business. During this period, he discovered and nurtured a passion for songwriting. He found a way to blend his guitar stylings with an ear for melody and lyrical expression into a strong songwriting form.
