In 2008, we were booked at The Hotel Monte Vista in Flagstaff, AZ. After the gig, my drummer
absolutely refused to sleep in the hotel room we’d been given. He didn’t know why — just a gut thing.
Fast forward to 2022, I vacationed at the haunted The Saint James hotel in Red Wing, MN. It was a
blast so I Googled more. A list of the most haunted hotels in America listed The Hotel Monte Vista. I
immediately texted my drummer. “Guess what? Monte Vista was haunted!” I said. “Called it.” He
replied. That triggered the concept: The music experience is paranormal.
