Mark XTC (Xtra Tuff Cutta) started his DJ-ing career at the tender age of 15 playing in places such as the legendary Hacienda, where in the late 80’s he won the North West DMC DJ Championships. Producing music with DJ group “The Mix Factory” (of Sunset 102fm) his mix of the Mix Factory track “Take Me Away” reached number 41 in the UK chart also gaining success in the American charts, he teamed up with Manchester DJ legend Jonny J to create “The Family Foundation” with MC Shine and Manchester vocalist supreme Rachel McFarlane, they went on to create dance floor smash Express yourself.
“DA INTALEX” (Mark Mckinley & Marcus Kaye) was born in the early 90's, two guys doing what they loved, producing and spinning hardcore jungle/ Drum and Bass all around the world. DA INTALEX founded Intalex Recordings with tunes being brought out constantly, such as “I Like It Remix”. “New Dawn” was released on Jump Up Records and also “What You Gonna Do” on Flex, which has gone down in history as one of the “all time top ten drum and bass tunes”. Mark worked at The Manchester College for over 16 years and utilises his experience and expertise to inspire and train DJ/ Producers of the future, continuing to have singles in the Juno and Beatport top 100 charts with collaborating with former students Bou and Simon Exile, he continues to DJ/ produce all over the world today covering for Uncle Dugs on Rinse FM and having his own show on KoolLondon (on alternate Tuesday’s 7-9pm).
