Markus Gillmann

Markus Gillmann is a German musician, singer and songwriter. He plays the guitar, bass, keyboard and some other instruments and also produces his own records. In his solo project he combines parts of melodic rock with modern progressive key and synth sounds to a special kind of modern rock.
Markus Gillmann is also the founder, singer, lead guitarist and songwriter of his melodic hard rock project Markus Gillmann’s Molten Crown which was founded in 2016 and released the album "Keeper Of The Maar“ in 2019. Markus Gillmann’s Molten Crown was created after his previous band Molten Crown (2006 - 2015) disbanded at the end of 2015. In 2012 Molten Crown released the album "The Molten Crown“ as a 12 track concept album, which is now only available as an EP with the five songs composed by Markus Gillmann, himself.
Markus Gillmann was born in April, 1965 in the German town Neunkirchen/Saar. In 1977 at the age of twelve he started playing the guitar and took several years of classical guitar lessons before he switched to electric guitar and taught himself some other instruments. In his teenage years he was influenced by many musical styles such as rock, psychodelic, progressive, hard rock and pop.
