Markus Wesen

The musical history of Markus Wesen began in the mid-90s. Already at that time music was his absolute passion. His talent did not go unnoticed and his passion quickly became his vocation. Since that time, many unspeakable stations as DJ, producer and organizer later, reflect this. As a DJ he was regularly allowed to play in various hotspots in Ibiza such as the Amnesia, Space or last but not least The Zoo Project. Even far away continents like Asia to South America he was allowed to travel with his music.

In addition to his gigs and his own events Markus has not been idle in the studio over the years and so came to various releases on a variety of labels such as Tiefdruckgebeat Ohral, Waldliebe families, Blu-Fin or YellowTail to conditions. Twice Markus managed his works on the legendary compilations of UK's cult label Global Undergrund.

Of course over this time different influences have repeatedly influenced his musical style as a DJ as well as a producer. Today the words "Deeptech & Downtempo" are strong in his music but his style does not really fit into a certain drawer. He himself describes his own sound as "Dubtrance" and so he plays from trippy technoid tracks to melodic house grooves, everything that creates a hypnotic effect as a whole, on which way he creates inimitable suspense curves.
