Marleen Dahms

Marleen Dahms is a Berlin based trombonist, improviser and composer. Besides her quintet „ALLOY“ for which she composes, she also plays with numerous bands all over Europe, from experimental large ensembles, small jazz groups to Salsa bands or well known pop artists. She lived in various countries (Spain, Ecuador, Switzerland, Germany) that influenced her musical language. Her fierce, intuitive and expressive playing mirrors her urge to process emotions through music and enables her to feel comfortable in various musical contexts.
Her first album „Running And Belonging “ is a reflection on identity, the worlds order and disorder, present responsibilities and the searching for home.
