MARLEY

As a young kid from Central Indiana, Nate Marley, known as his stage name “MARLEY”, always dreamed of becoming a professional musician. He has always had a love for music, no matter the genre or time period. He looked up to many rockstars, like Brian Johnson and Axl Rose. He also admired hip hop and the work of artists such as Dr. Dre and Kendrick Lamar.


At a young age, he developed a talent for lyric writing and story telling. He used this talent to convey a plethora of emotions, but never released any of his writings to the public. After he was comfortable with his writing skill, he proceeded to learn more about the instrumentation of modern songs. He then taught himself how to play the guitar, piano, ukulele, bass, and drums.


In 2017 & 2018, MARLEY took a course that taught him more about the industry standard software, Pro Tools, and began transforming some of his old lyrics into new hits. In the months following, he released his first track, COME UP, which now has nearly 8,000 plays. Since then, he’s accumulated over 200,000 plays on SoundCloud. In early June, he released his first album, entitled “VICES” on all streaming platforms.


On July 10th, 2020, MARLEY released a new album, titled “Philophobia”. He hopes to collaborate and grow with other local artists as time goes on. He plans to release much more music as 2022 progresses.
