Marmelonica is an electrochanson street music duo from Ukraine. Experimenting with various music styles in multiple languages, electronic sound of the 1980s being at the core, Marmelonica calls its music electrochanson. Since August 2020 the band has played original songs in French and Ukrainian as well as cover versions of songs by Luisa Sobral and Salvador Sobral in Portuguese, English, and Ukrainian. Among Marmelonica's recent projects are cover versions of songs performed by the Soviet jazz singer Leonid Utiosov and by the diva of French music Mylène Farmer. After road-testing the music in Ukrainian cities (Kharkiv, Kyiv, Odessa, Lviv), both out- and indoors due to the pandemic, Marmelonica released two albums, "Psylosophique" and "The Sobral Set" in February and April 2021.
