MARS ARMSTRONG

MARS ARMSTRONG is a Malaysian scifi soul jazz hip hop trio, composed of Anaisoula, Dafrosty, and Glazed Baguette. The group combines smooth hypnotizing hooks with backpacker rap flows over hard hitting retropunk beats reminiscent of late 90s hip hop and R&B.

Anais a.k.a. Anaisoula is a soulful jazz songstress who's a regular performer at Simply Jazz KL, Jao Tim, and Fono, among other jazz venues. Raised in the world of choir and musical theatre, she has proven her vocal prowess from her days as a backing vocalist to a frontline status. Her sultry voice and improvisation skills add a lush tone be it live or in the studio.

Dafrosty is producer, audio engineer, educator and lyricist extraordinaire from the infamous rap supergroup The Bat Cave, of which he founded in 2012. He managed and engineered all the albums and singles release under the crew's label Kelawar Records for the past 15 years. He is known in the local Hip Hop scene for hosting impromptu freestyle cyphers.

Glazed Baguette is a Producer, Rapper and DJ dabbling in multiple genres such as Hip-Hop, R&B, Funk and Blues Rock, the 29 year old has been slowly cementing himself in the ever-expanding Malaysian music scene. A multi-instrumentalist and a prolific sampler, he continues to push the envelope of Underground Hip-Hop via unlikely collaborations both local and internationally.
