MArs Rising is a Mexico-based alternative rock band. MArs Rising started out as a solo project created by mexican/american singer-songwriter MArs (Marena S.) while living in Boston, MA in 2014. At her arrival back in Mexico, MArs decided to turn her solo project into a group project and formally founded the band starring MArs (vocals, piano), Pepe Bautista (guitar), Bárbara de la Sota (guitar), Oso Montaudon (bass) and Irving Veloz (drums).
In 2018, MArs Rising takes to the studio and starts tracking the pre-production of the first few singles for their album with producer Mark Díaz. Later recording and producing with Emilio García at SoundVillage Records.
It goes without saying that thanks to what every band member has brought to the table, MArs Rising has finally grown roots and settled for a sound that defines who they are today.
