Marstan is an independent Turkish alternative rock band formed in 2019 by Emre Mimaroğlu (vocals, rhythm guitar). Soon after its formation, bassist Muratay Özkan joined, and together they began shaping a distinctive musical identity. The lineup was later completed by drummer Mehmet Serdar Nigiz, whose prior collaborations with Emre brought a well-established musical dynamic into the band.
Marstan made a striking debut with their first single, "Bunaldım" (2020), which resonated deeply with listeners through its raw melancholy. In 2021, their 7th release, "Olmasan da Olur," became their most popular track to date, marking a turning point in their artistic journey. The band continued to attract attention with "Sır" (2022), noted for its haunting lyrics and distinctive sonic character. In June 2025, their 16th single, "Sen Beni Boş Ver," introduced a fresh perspective to their sound.
