Marti is the alias of Caroline Hullman, who is from Virginia. She released two singles, "Yesterday" and "Just What I Need", ahead of her debut EP, which was released in 2021. She recorded the self-titled EP in the basement of her friend and co-producer, Nate Cantu, over the winter break between their junior year semesters (2020-2021). Caroline wrote much of the EP during high school and early college. Third Eye Blind, Alex G, Grouper, Snail Mail, Pavement, Wednesday, Forth Wanderers, and Phoebe Bridgers are some of her all-time favorites.
