Martin Bankart is a passionate worship leader and songwriter. His heart’s desire is to lead people closer to the father’s heart, he is also deeply involved with song writing dealing with questions of the heart and soul.
Since the day he picked up his mothers guitar and wrote his first song at the age of 14 he has never stopped creatively putting pen to paper...
His desire then as now is to see the church rise up to their calling to worship in spirit and in truth and to share that liberation and freedom attractively with the world we live in.
To this purpose he regularly releases new song material for a new generation of worshippers. In addition he sincerely produces songs which ask questions and dig for answers taking the word of God as our highest calling.
A concert with Martin will draw his audience into a place of peace and transparency with God. Songs such as “this is my answer to the storm, Jesus!” speak of pain and yet victory, suffering but joy.
Stylistically Martin’s music finds its roots in the pop rock scene of the English Music culture, But also traits of country, soul and folk can be found.
“If I could leave just one thought as an inheritance for future generations it would be a song:
the Refrain of which says
And I love the Lord, he heard my cry and rescued me! “
